St John’s Waterloo is delighted to announce that from September 2025, the London Chamber Music Society (LCMS) will bring its celebrated concert series to our beautifully restored venue. After 17 successful years at Kings Place, LCMS has chosen St John’s as its new home, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for both organisations.
As a historic Georgian church, St John’s Waterloo has long been a place for gathering, reflection, and artistic excellence. Following the completion of a £6.5m refurbishment, our spaces are now designed to offer a first-rate 21st-century concert-going experience. With superb acoustics, abundant natural light, modern facilities, and an unbeatable central location between the River Thames and Waterloo Station, we are perfectly positioned to host more world-class chamber music performances, building on concert series with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Smith Square and several others music groups.
We are thrilled to collaborate with LCMS Artistic Director, Prof. Peter Fribbins, to curate an inspiring season of concerts for 2025/26. Full details will be announced soon.

The London Chamber Music Society boasts a proud history of Victorian music making in London that can trace its history back to the regular Sunday Concerts that developed at South Place from the 1880s.
