Moving Stillness (in response)
Friday 10th July 2026, 6pm – 6:30pm
Churchyard Garden, St John’s Waterloo
We will begin with some fire breathing to warm the body up again after our 10-minute break. We will then revisit movement techniques explored in the previous hour, and improvise new ways to integrate them with the improvised sound around us, that of the Stillness Moving Mountain live performance. No experience of yoga, dance, or body work is necessary for this movement session.
You can do as much or as little as you feel like on the day. You will be able to sit on the lawn, a yoga mat, or a chair.
This session takes place in the Churchyard Gardens of St John’s Waterloo, weather permitting. If moving indoors, the performance will take place in the Forum at St John’s Waterloo.
Constança Saturino, who will lead this session, is an interdisciplinary artist, choreographer, dancer, and handpoke tattooist born in Lisbon and currently based in London.
This workshop forms part of Mental Fight Club’s and St John Waterloo’s collaborative Interleaved programme which takes place throughout the day. If you’re coming to this, you’re also very welcome to take part in other Interleaved performances, workshops and activities. Simply turn up, and speak to one of our wonderful festival volunteers.
