Futures Theatre

Theatre Company

About

For 30 years we have used theatre, engagement programmes, and training to amplify the voices of marginalised groups of women, non-binary and young people.

We tell personal and local stories with a national reach and relevance to a broad audience. Our 2012 production Paradise Street was created in collaboration with Waterloo women who lived, worked and married in the area. Paradise Street premiered at St John’s Festival 2012.

As part of our engagement programme we work long term with women who don’t have creative opportunities or a creative outlet. We have engaged many women in Lambeth, including survivors of domestic abuse and women at risk of or involved in the criminal justice system. In collaboration with artists and front line organisations, we continue to deliver this vital work in the community.
