Foodbank Donations

Many people are now relying on Foodbanks to help feed themselves and their families but resources have been heavily hit by the Covid-19 crisis. The Foodbanks desperately need donations and would appreciate your support.

In the Lambeth area all Foodbanks are now working together, to deliver food to people in need.

A fundraising page has been set up which has raised over 30k for the local foodbanks, and initial tranches of money have gone out, but they need to keep the donations coming in.

More widely, if you can donate, donations can be made through the two following channels:

Crowdfunder - a general fundraiser for the Foodbank operations https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/ensuring-that-no-one-in-our-community-goes...

Bankuet - to specifically donate food items https://www.bankuet.co.uk/waterloo

Also, the main packing centre in Streatham is also looking for volunteers who:

- can cycle, walk or drive to Streatham Hill and can be available weekday mornings or lunchtimes (either 10-12 or 12-2), to help pack parcels.

- have a car, to help delivering parcels. This will be weekday afternoons for volunteers who would be happy to either deliver on their own, or have someone who lives in the same house as them who could come with them. It has been advised there should not be two people from different households sharing a van/car due to social distancing protocol.

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
