St Andrew's

St Andrew's, the sister church to St John's Waterloo, is a modern church on Short Street , just off The Cut.

This beautiful building, with its light-flooded rooms and high-spec amenities, hosts a Sunday weekly prayer service at  6pm, and Eucharist on Wednesdays at 6pm. At other times, it is a hub of community activity, with art exhibitions, yoga classes, training courses, rehearsals, workshops and more.

In the words of our Bookings Officer, Lorraine Spenceley:

"One could be forgiven for walking past St Andrew's as it is an unassuming Church tucked away in a side street off The Cut.  But it is a tardis of space and creativity.  The small door leads into two medium-sized halls, a small meeting room and several offices.  The halls are booked by a variety of organisations - The Young Vic and the National Theatre for rehearsals;  training sessions by Cruse and the Shakespeare Schools Festival.   There are evening activities such as cubs, tai chi and Yoga.  A number of Church based organisation use the St Andrew's for meetings.  And, of course, there are the weekly Church services.  The third-floor meeting room is used for counselling, private tuition, voice training and small meetings."

"So the next time you walk past this pleasant, unprepossessing building at the end Short Street, take a minute and  think of the activities going on inside. Booking is easy, just click on the link below!"
